Although 30 m spools are available in smaller form factors (e.g. thin line on aluminium bodies), at XR Scuba we find these larger polycarbonate spools easier to use, especially with gloves.
They are excellent as backup spools, for search & recovery, as jump lines, and for moderate wreck penetration.
