Description

Apeks XTX50 Regulator Set
DIN, Nitrox-ready

The XTX50 is one of the world’s most popular XR regulators. It offers 4 medium-pressure ports mounted on a rotating turret, resulting in optimal hose routing while eliminating sharp bends. It comes with braided flexi-hoses which are lighter, more flexible and more durable.

The 1st stage (over-balanced diaphragm design) is environmentally sealed to keep water out of the spring chamber and prevent ice build-up while keeping silt and contamination out.

The 2nd stage offers the innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE) which gives you the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This lets you choose between a wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and a narrow exhaust tee for a smaller and more comfortable regulator. The regulator is supplied with both sets of exhaust tees. The Comfo-bite™ mouthpiece virtually eliminates jaw-fatigue.

  • Suitable for cold water diving (below 10 C / 50 F)
  • Nitrox-ready (up to EAN40)
  • 2 HP ports and 4 MP ports on a rotating turret
  • Integrated Venturi Lever and Breathing Effort Control Knob
  • Overall work of breathing (WOB) score: Avg. 0.70 joules/litre

Set includes:

  • Apeks XTX50 1st stage
  • Apeks XTX50 2nd stage
  • Braided regulator hose (75 cm / 30 in)
  • Exhaust tees (narrow and wide)
  • DIN regulator dust cap

Note 1: To use the Apeks XTX50 with backmount twinsets or sidemount doubles, XR Scuba recommends installation of the optional Apeks 5th MP port to enable optimum hose routing and regulator orientation. We offer the Apeks XTX50 with the 5th MP port already installed. For use with stage/deco cylinders and for rebreather bailout cylinders, the 5th MP port is not usually required.

Note 2: The XTX50 2nd stage can be converted from a right-handed hose configuration to a left-handed one. The process of changing the regulator to a left-handed configuration is both quick and simple. However, this procedure must only be performed by an Apeks Authorised Service Technician.
