Cylinder Strap
SS cam buckle
This cylinder strap enables you to use your tec backplate/harness for single cylinder diving. Simply thread the strap through the slots on your backplate and wing (see Notes below) and you are good to go.
- Heavy-duty 5.1 cm (2 in) nylon webbing
- 316 stainless steel cam buckle
- Anti-slip rubber pad
- Fits cylinders 18 – 20 mm (6.9 – 8 in) diameter (AL80 etc)
- Length: 91.4 cm (36 in)
Note 1: Depending on your equipment configuration, you may need 2 of these straps to secure your cylinder properly.
Note 2: Depending on your wing’s design, you may be unable to thread these straps through it. In this case, you need the Single Cylinder Adapter which has bolts to attach your backplate to your wing.
Note 3: If you frequently change between single cylinder and twinset configurations, then removing/replacing these straps every time will not be much fun. Instead, XR Scuba recommends installing these straps on the Single Cylinder Adapter which simply bolts on/off to your backplate as needed.
Note 4: Using your twinset wing with a single cylinder will create undesirable drag and may also affect your trim. If you frequently dive a single cylinder, then XR Scuba recommends using a 30 lb Wing for more enjoyable dives.
